The Animal Health Trust is a large UK-based veterinary charity dedicated to promoting animal welfare through improved understanding of diseases in cats, dogs and horses. Situated in a beautiful location just 4 miles from Newmarket the AHT has a multi-disciplinary small animal referral clinic, an equine referral clinic and a number of research groups (including virology, epidemiology, pathology, genetics, and molecular oncology).
The Centre for Small Animal Studies currently has vacancies for six interns. You will be involved in all aspects of the centres work and will receive training from our highly experienced team of clinicians. We see referral cases in dermatology, neurology, ophthalmology, oncology, soft tissue surgery and internal medicine. Specialist teams in anaesthesiology and diagnostic imaging back up these core disciplines. We have excellent modern facilities and equipment, including an MRI scanner.
All the posts will run for one year and provide a tax-free stipend of £13,000 per annum plus free, single accommodation. Candidates will be expected to live on site for the duration of this internship and must also have applied for or hold their MRCVS prior to commencing.
