AHT Equine

The Equine Centre offers a comprehensive referral service for orthopaedics, imaging and poor performance. Cardio respiratory disease can be investigated with use of our high-speed treadmill, imaging and endoscopy services. Full surgical facilities and an experienced anaesthesia team allow for diagnoses and treatment of disease. Working alongside the Centre for Small Animal Studies, The equine unit can provide dermatology, ophthalmology, oncology and neurology services.

Research and disease surveillance is continuous in both a clinical and laboratory setting, allowing continued advancement in equine medicine, surgery and therapeutics. The result of which is an increase in equine welfare by passing on knowledge gained to veterinary surgeons and the equine industry. With state of the art facilities, an experienced, expert team, with a love and passion for horses, we offer a unique service to veterinary surgeons and owners alike.

We are delighted to accept referrals in all shapes and sizes, from Shetland pony to elite competition horses. We are only too pleased to help and discuss any issues over the phone and offer advice and support wherever possible.
