Life at the AHT
Centre for Small Animal Studies
"I have been at the Animal Health Trust for 30 years, after coming here straight from school starting out as a Junior Typist. I am now Head Receptionist in the Centre Small Animal Studies and enjoy my work very much. I have seen a lot of changes during this time, seeing many faces coming and going. I have also got to know many of the regular clients and their animals, being there for them during the happy and sad times.
My work entails running of the busy reception, making sure the clinics run smoothly and clients made to feel welcome and comfortable during this stressful time. Its been an enjoyable 30 years and the AHT is a great place to work. I hope to work here for many more years."
"I enjoy working in such a beautiful rural setting where colleagues bring their dogs to work. It reminds me of the importance of animal companionship every day."

"The best aspect of working at the Animal Health Trust is that it challenges me to test my skills as a scientist to develop new diagnostic tests and vaccines for the improvement of animal health. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters and access to new state of the art technology, this is exactly what we are now delivering towards the eradication of Strangles."
