Crufts competition rules 2017
1. THE PROMOTER
The promoter of this prize draw is: Animal Health Trust (AHT), Lanwades Park, Kentford, Newmarket, Suffolk, CB8 7UU.
2. HOW TO ENTER
2.1 The competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
2.2 To enter the competition, you must complete the form and return to the above address by Friday 24 March 2017
2.3 The opening date for entries is 9 March 2017. The closing date of the competition is 23:59 on Friday 24 March 2017 (the “Closing Date”)
2.4 All entries must be received by the AHT no later than 23:59 on the 24 March 2017. All entries received after the Closing Date will be automatically disqualified.
2.5 Only one entry per person is permitted.
2.6 The first correct entry to be drawn will win the prize.
2.7 By submitting an entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2.8 By entering the competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you in your entry is true, accurate and complete in every respect.
2.9 The AHT will not accept:
(a) responsibility for entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
(b) proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the prize draw.
2.10 The AHT reserves the right in its absolute discretion to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe that an entrant has breached any of these terms and conditions, any applicable law. Each entrant acknowledges and agrees that any failure to comply with these terms and conditions could lead to the AHT disqualifying that person, without the AHT giving any reason for such disqualification or granting any opportunity for challenge.
2.11 In the event that a prize-winner is disqualified from the competition, the AHT will select an alternative prize-winner in the same manner as the original prize-winner and such selection will be subject to these terms and conditions.
3.1 Any person that is:
(a) an employee of the AHT
(b) a member of the immediate families or households of the above,
is not eligible to enter the competition. The AHT reserves the right to disqualify any person that it knows is, or has reasonable grounds to believe is, ineligible for the competition as a result of this condition.
3.2 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The AHT may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
3.3 The AHT will not accept entries that are:
(a) completed by third parties or in bulk;
(b) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; or
3.4 There is a limit of one entry per person. In the event that the AHT discovers or has reasonable grounds to believe that the same person has made multiple entries, such person and any entries made by them shall be disqualified and, if such entrant has already been selected as a competition winner, an alternative prize-winner will be selected in accordance with the process described above.
4. THE PRIZE
4.1 The winner of the first prize will receive:
DforDog.co.uk £75 voucher and a Dog BUFF®
4.2 The winner of the second prize will receive:
£50 DforDog.co.uk voucher and a Dog BUFF®
4.3 The winner of the third prize will receive:
£25 DforDog.co.uk voucher and a Dog BUFF®
4.4 25 runners up will recieve: One Dog BUFF®
4.5 The prizes are valid for a period of 12 months after the Announcement Date.
4.6 The prizes are subject to availability. There is no cash alternative for the prizes. The prizes are not negotiable or transferable.
5. WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT
5.1 The winners of the prize draw will be announced by the 31 March 2017
5.2 The decision of the AHT regarding any aspect of this competition is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
5.3 The AHT will send the name and county of the winners to anyone who writes within one month after the Announcement Date requesting details of the winner and who encloses a self-addressed envelope to the address set out in condition 1.
6. CLAIMING THE PRIZE
6.1 The winner will be notified by email (using the details provided at entry) before 31 March 2017, and must respond to the email with a postal address to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond to the AHT within 10 days of being notified by the AHT, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited and the AHT will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
6.2 The prize will be sent to the winner by email within 30 days after the Closing Date.
6.3 The AHT does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
6.4 No prize will be awarded where any entrant has committed any form of misconduct (as determined by the AHT in its sole discretion).
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Insofar as is permitted by law, The AHT will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, disappointment, personal injury or death occurring as a result of any entrant entering this competition, taking up the prize, or as a result of any entrant winning or not winning any prize, except where it is caused by the negligence of the AHT. Your statutory rights are not affected.
8. DATA PROTECTION AND PUBLICITY
8.1 If you are the winner of the competition, you agree that the AHT may use your name, image and your town or county of residence to announce the winner of this competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes.
8.2 You further agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by the AHT.
8.3 By entering the competition, you agree that any personal information provided by you with the entry may be held and used only by the AHT to administer the competition.
9.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the AHT may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
9.2 In the event of any dispute regarding these terms and conditions, the conduct or results of the competition, or any other matter relating to a competition, the decision of the AHT shall be final and unchallengeable and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into, comment issued, or reason given in respect of any decision made by the AHT.
9.3 The AHT reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend all or any part of the competition where it becomes necessary to do so. Any changes to these terms and conditions, or cancellation of the competition, will be posted on the Website. It is the responsibility of entrants to keep themselves informed as to any changes to the terms and conditions.
9.4 These terms and conditions and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter (including any non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
