INHERITED DISEASE
Our inherited disease research splits into three key areas linked by a common emphasis on molecular biology and molecular genetics.
CANCER RESEARCH
Cancer is the most common cause of death in dogs, the second most common cause in cats. Our research aims to change this.
GENETICS RESEARCH
We identify genetic mutations which cause inherited disease in horses and dogs. Where possible, we develop DNA tests or other diagnostic tools to help eradicate these diseases.
STEM CELL RESEARCH
We are currently investigating whether stem cells can aid tendon regeneration in horses.
