The Animal Health Trust is a registered Charity dedicated to the improvement of animal health and welfare through veterinary research, together with high quality clinical services and a commitment to education. The Trust comprises the Centre for Small Animal Studies (CSAS), Centre for Equine Studies and Centre for Preventive Medicine.
The anaesthesia team is composed of three/four clinicians in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia, two residents, an intern and a nurse/technician. We provide a 24-hour anaesthesia, analgesia and critical care service in the small animal and equine hospitals at the AHT. We support specialist teams in dermatology, diagnostic imaging, neurology, oncology, small animal and equine ophthalmology, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, small animal and equine orthopaedics.
Due to increasing case-load we require a locum anaesthetist to start as soon as possible and to continue until September 2016. The applicant could be a veterinary surgeon or registered veterinary nurse with experience of providing anaesthesia in a referral institution. He or she will be someone who shares our objectives of providing the highest quality patient care, working co-operatively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. We are able to offer a very friendly and rewarding environment in which to work, remuneration will be commensurate with experience.
