Karen joined the AHT as a Ward Assistant in 2006 and later changed posts to become an Animal Nursing Assistant. Prior to joining the AHT, Karen worked as a part-time waitress but had also spent five years as a Laboratory Technician with a research and development company, which involved carrying out blood tests on prototype blood glucose monitors. Karen is now a qualified Veterinary Nurse and has moved into a QVN role working on our wards and clinics. Karen is also a clinical coach.
