Maria qualified from the University of Bologna, Italy, in March 2013, having already worked as an intern for two years in the anaesthesia department in the same University Hospital. Her final dissertation was an experimental thesis entitled: “Target Controlled Infusion (TCI) of Propofol: from Human to Veterinary Medicine with application in dog” and was presented at a national conference in Italy.
Six months after graduation she left the anaesthesia department of Bologna University and moved back to her hometown Milan, where she worked in general practice. In September 2014 she started working in the UK as a locum and had the opportunity to work in different general practices in the Birmingham area.
Maria joined the Trust in February 2015 as Anaesthesia Intern and became Resident in Anaesthesia and Analgesia in September 2016.
In her spare time she likes cooking, walking with her dog Alfio and having dinner with friends.
