Matias qualified from Leon University in Spain in 2011. After performing some externships in South Africa, he started a 12-month rotating internship in Spain at the University of Gran Canaria. Afterwards he moved to Zurich, Switzerland in order to pursue further education. After a second 12 month internship with a special focus in diagnostic imaging, he moved to the UK to perform a diagnostic imaging internship at the Animal Health Trust. In October 2015 he started the residency program in diagnostic imaging.

The Animal Health Trust is a veterinary charity, based in Suffolk, which offers clinical referral services and diagnostic testing for horses, dogs and cats in East Anglia, across the UK and internationally. Through its research programmes it develops new diagnostic tests, treatments and vaccines to help thousands of animals.
