Nicola has always wanted to work with animals and as soon as she could she undertook work experience in veterinary surgeries, catteries, kennels and farms. She graduated from the RVC in 2008 and then worked in a small animal practice for a year. Following this she worked in radiotherapy physics at University College hospital, London where she was awarded her radiotherapy physics diploma and VRCT registration. She now uses these qualifications to treat animals with the linear accelerator and brachytherapy unit in the cancer centre at the AHT.
The Animal Health Trust is a veterinary charity, based in Suffolk, which offers clinical referral services and diagnostic testing for horses, dogs and cats in East Anglia, across the UK and internationally. Through its research programmes it develops new diagnostic tests, treatments and vaccines to help thousands of animals.
