Sue moved to the role of Quality Assurance Manager after 10 years managing the Diagnostic Laboratory Services Department at AHT, which included implementing and maintaining the Service’s ISO 9001 certification. Sue’s role involves the implementation, continual improvement and audit of the Animal Health Trust's Quality Management System. The Quality Management System has been designed to ensure a high standard of work within the laboratories at the AHT, those delivering a service to the on-site secondary referral hospitals, external veterinary practitioners and the research laboratories investigating inherited and infectious diseases in animals. Sue brought 25 years of laboratory technical and management experience to her current role; she has a broad foundation of technical laboratory experience including clinical chemistry, haematology, method development, test optimisation and validation.
The Animal Health Trust is a veterinary charity, based in Suffolk, which offers clinical referral services and diagnostic testing for horses, dogs and cats in East Anglia, across the UK and internationally. Through its research programmes it develops new diagnostic tests, treatments and vaccines to help thousands of animals.
