Samantha graduated from University of Santiago de Compostela in Spain in 2007. After graduation, Samantha worked in small animal general practice for two years in the northwest of Spain. She then underwent a rotating internship for 12 months at her training university hospital in Spain, where she developed a special interest for oncology and cytology. At the beginning of 2011, Samantha moved to United Kingdom where she worked in first opinion practice. Between 2012 and 2013, Samantha completed a 12 month rotating internship program at the Small Animal Hospital of the University Glasgow. After that, she joined the oncology department of the same hospital as an Oncology Intern for three months. In August 2013, Samantha became a Resident in Small Animal Oncology at the Trust.
The Animal Health Trust is a veterinary charity, based in Suffolk, which offers clinical referral services and diagnostic testing for horses, dogs and cats in East Anglia, across the UK and internationally. Through its research programmes it develops new diagnostic tests, treatments and vaccines to help thousands of animals.
