Kathy qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1997 while working in private practice. Over the next few years she worked towards her Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing (surgical), gaining the qualification while working at People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals. In 2002 she moved to the University of Cambridge Queen’s Veterinary School Hospital to take up a position as an anaesthesia nurse.
After seven years, she transferred to the imaging department and worked for six years as a veterinary radiographer. She started work at the Animal Health Trust in May 2015.
In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her dogs, and has a passion for ballet and open water swimming. Her hair colour is entirely natural!
