Cat
We would like to express our most sincere and grateful thanks to the Oncology Team, nurses and reception staff at the Animal Health Trust for all the help and support they gave to our special cat Bella, and to us.
Bella was part of our family life and has given us immense pleasure over the years, not only as a very loving companion, but also as a Show Champion in 2001, under the name Popylea Moon Tiger. She will be missed so very much by her family.
We have a lot of faith in the Animal Health Trust and the work they do. Back in 2001, another cat of ours called Duke suffered inner ear cancer. Surgery was performed and was a total success. Duke is still with us to this day, and is fit and well.
Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for giving Bella that extra bit of time with us.

Blakey 2000-2010
Dog
Blakey came our way mostly by chance at about eight years of age but he turned our world upside down. He was a huge black German Shepherd with a terrible history and very few social skills. However what he lacked in manners he made up for in charactor. Everyone knew him wherever we went because he could not be left. In his two short years with us he travelled everywhere. Sadly he got ill very quick on Mid Summers Day and we had to let him go. He now rests somewhere forever young and crazy and we will love and talk of him forever. God Bless.

Boo Boo 1988-2007
Cat
To everyone at the Animal Health Trust
My cat Boo Boo was in with you three years ago, being treated for an overactive thyroid, and she was really well looked after. Boo Boo passed away in May last year, just six weeks short of her 19th birthday.
I d had her since she was 12 weeks old so it was sad to say goodbye and I miss her every day. But the AHT gave her two and a half extra years to enjoy and, although she was old, she wasn t really ill until the last few weeks when her little kidneys finally gave out. She was put to sleep late one night and died in my arms.
I now have two new cats, Dillon and Daisy, who are Battersea cats. Although I miss Boo, I couldn t let the basket get cold and had to give a home to two little unwanted souls!

Bosun 2001-2008
Dog
When Bosun, our 7 year old Newfoundland dog, was suddenly taken ill in October and a tumour was diagnosed, his owners, we asked for a referral to the Animal Health Trust.
He was seen the same day when it was discovered he actually had leukaemia. After an overnight stay at the Trust and further tests had been done, we were advised it was acute leukaemia and the decision was made to let him go peacefully.
Bosun had been a member of East Anglian Working Newfoundlands since the age of 8 weeks, taking part in the majority of the land and water displays which the Club undertakes. He was also one of the 11 EAWN dogs who travelled to France in 2006 to take part in the International for the Newfoundland dogs, the first time a Club from the UK had taken dogs.
In gratitude for the way the Trust looked after Bosun, it was decided that a quarter share of the money raised by East Anglian Working Newfoundland club's annual Christmas tree pull at Elveden Estates should be donated to the AHT.

Cosmic 2006-2009
Dog
You came to me as a pup, I watched you day by day grow-up, You made me happy in your hours of play, And always had something to say, You rarely were away from me, I took you everywhere from A to B, Your excitement when we returned from work, Made sure our friendship stuck, Your ears were floppy, Your eyes were bright, You never left me out of sight, The day you died was the worst of all, I'm struggling hard with your fall, So forgive me friend but it had to be, I had to let you go in your time of need.

Pet Memories:: This is for Duke, who plastered my home with slobber, kept me awake with his snoring, slept on my bed and who used to wake me up by smacking his huge paw in my face. How I have missed you - my best buddy. One year since you passed but never a day goes by when I don't think of you. Died of cancer a year ago, but seems like an eternity. Safe now at the Bridge.

Dog
Our Dearest Louis, You were our baby boy. Full of Joy from the minute we met you. You filled our lives with sunshine and happiness, until the dark cloud came along and snatched you away from us so suddenly. Life seems so empty without you, and we miss you every minute of the day. The only comfort is to know you had a wonderful life with us, and was loved so much, it hurts now that you're not with us. Happy memories of all our favourite places (and smells) and know that you're with us in those special places all the time. Run wild and run free little man.

Merlin 1998 - 2010
Cat
Our Merlin was a very beautiful cat, white with black markings, he came from the RSPCA along with his gorgeous tortoiseshell Mum and his grey and white brother, together they were a gentle little group. Merlin was the biggest but the most nervous and he liked being outside a lot and didn't like strangers but to us and those he was used to he was very affectionate with the loudest purr I have ever heard! We lost him one terrible day on the 1st of August very suddenly and unexpectedly. We lost his lovely mother Amber a few years ago and now we still have his brother Casper who is a patient of the AHT and who we cherish even more as the only member of our cat family and who has battled through his own illness and keeps up our spirits. God Bless you Merlin we love and will never forget you. Mummy, Daddy and Casper xxxxxx

They say memories are golden well maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.
A million times I needed you,
a million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you
you never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place
no one could ever fill.
If tears could build a stairway
and heartache make a lane,
I'd walk the path to heaven
and bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.

My Beloved Pip.
You came to me as a puppy only 5 weeks old and from that day you were like my baby. You meant the world to me and still do and always will. You were the most entertaining and funny dog I have ever met we have had some great times together and I will never forget any of them. I miss you every minute of the day especially keeping me warm in bed even though sometimes you squashed me. Shanna 1995-2006
Dog
Shanna was a bright and happy Golden Retriever who enjoyed the company of everyone she met. Especially vets, she loved going to the surgery! She was very intelligent as she knew the names of all of her toys, and she had a few... Shanna was diagnosed with an inoperable tumour and suffered from multiple tumours for her last two months. It is such great news to hear that AHT are building a new cancer centre and working towards curing Canine Cancer.

You will missed soooooooo much, we never wanted this to happen but unfortunately it did and you will remain in our hearts forever.

Cat
Tully was a beautiful, dear, brave cat who is much loved and missed. Thank you to the AHT for looking after her when she stayed with you during an operation six months earlier.
from Julie Dubroff

Dog
William was my best friend. He was almost 'human' (and better than most I've known).
He used to interpret for the other dogs if they wanted to go out, or if they were hungry. He was completely devoted to me although he was meant as a gift to my mother, when he was brought home as a puppy, he just came straight to me and did his best to stay beside me all his life.
He slept beside my bed and even when the spinal tumour (we didn't know until it was too late) must have been causing him pain for a few years, he'd always make the effort to get upstairs to sleep in my bedroom.
I truly felt I'd lost my little black rock. In fact I thought of him as my canine husband. He's buried in the garden with a cross to mark his grave. A wonderful dog and a gentle soul.
