TREK mount kilimanjaro
Trek Mount Kilimanjaro 5 - 16 February 2016
This is a once-in-a-life-time opportunity to trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa at 5896m, and raise vital funds for the Animal Health Trust at the same time.
About the challenge
This is a stunning trek which takes you along the beautiful Lmosho Route, allowing plenty of time to acclimatise to the high altitude. You will be supported by experience mountain guides who will lead you along this incredible route via the Shira Plateau and along the southern flank of the Barranco Wall before summiting Uhuru Peak to the finish.
In 2014 two AHT supporters, Kate and Lucy Flory, took part in this challenge and summited Mount Kilimanjaro in February 2014 - raising an astonishing £6,179.50 for the AHT’s cancer centre in memory of their dog Tia, who sadly passed away from the disease. Read their incredible story and blog about the climb here.
