EHV-1 abortions
On 28th April two cases of EHV-1 abortion were confirmed in non-vaccinated Warmblood mares on one premises in Fife, Scotland, United Kingdom. The diagnoses were confirmed by PCR at the Animal Health Trust. To date three mares among 13 on the premises have aborted, with one abortion not investigated.
