How you can help to give your pony power!!

As a branch or centre:

Hold a used tack sale where branch members bring bits of unused or unwanted tack to sell with part of the proceeds going to the AHT
Arrange a sponsored ride
Organise a fun event and sell tickets to branch members, their friends and family such as:

ten-pin bowling challenge, picnic at the local point-to-point , quiz night with fish & chip supper

Have a cake stall at your next rally
Plan a treasure hunt route to be followed on horseback. Give out directions at the start as cryptic clues that have to be solved. Ask people to pay to enter
Hold a dog show. Charge people to enter classes – the wackier the better! Try the waggiest tail and the best six legs!!
Hold bucket collections at the end of all your events.

As an individual:

Offer to do odd jobs for cash for friends and family - washing cars, ironing, mowing the lawn, baby sitting, dog walking…
Muck out stables in your yard, for friends and neighbours
Grooming – give a friend’s horse a fantastic makeover. If you’re good at pulling manes or tails, do this for a small fee, or offer to plait a mane for a show or rally
Do a super tack cleaning job for all those busy riders who just don’t have the time
Give pony rides at local fun days and community events
Ask everyone in your family to take sandwiches to work or school and donate the money they would normally have spent on lunch
Hold a dinner party – get your Mum to cook a special meal (or do it yourself) and invite your friends to pay to come to the party

Or come up with your own fun way of raising money!
