Our
next production
In 2010 we are proud to present a double bill of operetta; “The Zoo” (music by Sir Arthur Sullivan and libretto by Bolton Rowe) followed by Gilbert and Sullivan’s ever-popular “Trial by Jury”. The show will run for four days from Wednesday 9th to Saturday 12th June 2010; there will be evening performances daily and a matinée on Saturday. The venue, as in the last three years, will be Downing Farm, Swaffham Bulbeck.
New members are always welcome, either to perform or to assist backstage with the many jobs which go on behind the scenes! It’s great fun, and we are a very friendly group. No audition is necessary for chorus members. If you would like further information or are interested in joining please contact Ruth Dennis on 01638 508171 or e-mail info@sbstgands.co.uk
We
look forward to seeing you and are sure that you will enjoy the show!
FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS
Can I
buy tickets on the door?
This is only possible if we have not sold out for a given performance.
Please note that for many years now evening performances – especially
Friday and Saturday - do sell out. Tickets are often available
on the door for the Saturday matinee but it is always wise to check
beforehand with the Box Office on 01223 813655.
Can I
collect and pay for reserved tickets on the door?
We discourage this because, in the past, people have failed to turn
up and we have lost sales. Please note that we reserve the
right to offer for sale any tickets which have been reserved but not
paid for.
Are seats
numbered?
No, tickets may be reserved but seating positions in the barn are not.
It is first come, first served – come early to get the best seats!
What
is the car parking situation?
There is car parking available at the farm; if full please park thoughtfully
and tidily in Swaffham Bulbeck streets.
Is the
barn heated?
No. If the weather is cold you are advised to bring a blanket.
Experienced supporters often bring a cushion too!
Are there
disabled facilities?
Yes, the barn is readily accessible for wheelchairs and a disabled toilet
is provided. Wheelchair users will be positioned comfortably in the
auditorium by stewards who will be on hand to help. It would be
helpful if disabled needs could be explained at the ticket ordering
stage.
