Interim ICC Report – November 18 #11 (29.11.18)
On 29 November 2018, RESPE reported a case of strangles in Mayenne. The affected horse presented with an abscess. Positive diagnosis was confirmed by PCR on a swab by LABEO-Frank Duncombe.
Equine Influenza (EI)
On 28 November 2018, The Washington State Department of Agriculture reported seven cases of EI. Three cases were reported in Whatcom County, three in Snohomish County and one case in Thurston County. No quarantines have been established at this time.
On 28 November 2018, The Washington State Department of Agriculture reported a case of Strangles in Thurston County. No quarantines have been established at this time.
West Nile Virus
On 26 November 2018, The Tennessee Department of Agriculture confirmed two cases of WNV. An eight-year-old Saddlebred mare in Loudon County that had been vaccinated in March of 2018 was confirmed positive on 12 November by IgM ELISA. A seven-year-old Tennessee Walking Horse gelding of unknown vaccination status located in Monroe County was confirmed positive on 16 November by IgM ELISA.
