Fixed Term, 6-month Contract (with possibility of permanent position)
Full-time, 35 hours per week
Core hours, 8am – 4pm
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our busy procurement team.
The role is split into two parts;
- Manual tasks, such as; processing incoming mail for dispatch (including use of a franking machine), delivering mail across site (using a Trust van), delivering and collecting samples to locations both on and off-site (using a Trust van) and general stock management. This is a physically demanding role involving a considerable amount of heavy lifting and driving, whilst requiring strong interpersonal skills for interacting with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Administrative duties, such as; managing a wide range of enquiries from inside and outside of the organisation, including use of the internal stock control and charging system in order to process requisitions, raise purchase orders and checking deliveries against goods in.
For up to 6 months, the successful candidate will generally be limited to the manual elements of the role. Once training is complete, the successful candidate will work on a weekly rota with other members of the department, alternating between making deliveries and Administrative duties, working alternate shifts of 8am – 4pm and 9am – 5pm.
All applicants must have a full manual driving licence, working knowledge of MS Excel and Outlook as well as excellent administration, IT and customer service skills.
