The Animal Health Trust is a charitable organisation aiming to fight disease and injury in companion animals. The small animal clinic is dedicated to providing the highest standards of patient care, and has an active programme of clinical research and post-graduate training (internships, residencies and PhDs).

The medicine group works closely with our specialists from other disciplines, including anaesthesia, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, physiotherapy and surgery. On site we have CT, fluoroscopy, 1.5T MRI and a linear accelerator. The pathology and clinical pathology laboratories on site complement the clinical services and enable us to offer a full on-site diagnostic service. Additionally, the AHT has a number of research groups and an equine referral clinic with opportunities for collaborative work.

The Small Animal Internal Medicine Team currently consists of 3 clinicians, 4 residents and a dedicated nursing team. Due to expansion and the replacement of one of our team members, we have 2 vacancies for senior clinicians in our Small Animal Internal Medicine department. Clinicians must have completed a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine and have obtained or be actively pursuing board certification. An interest in seeing some oncology cases would be beneficial for these roles.
