Last week ITV News Anglia aired two short films that showcased some of the world leading research projects currently being undertaken by scientists and researchers at the Animal Health Trust.
The first film focused on our research into cancer in dogs and heart disease in cats – two vital projects for pets and their owners. In addition to helping improve the diagnosis and treatment of the conditions in our pets, both projects have the potential to help widen scientific understanding of the same diseases in humans. The second of ITV News Anglia’s films featured our genetic research into epilepsy in dogs and how we’re trying to find strategies to prevent the disease in future generations. It also highlighted the work we’re doing to help horses by investigating bone fracture in Thoroughbreds as well as our work as one of only three laboratories in the world monitoring Equine Influenza.
