Head of Anaesthesia at the AHT since 2009, Colette also facilitates the clinical research conducted by the anaesthesia unit at the AHT.

Biography

Colette is the founding Chair of the AHT Clinical Research Ethics Committee which reviews all AHT clinical research and some external projects. She is also a member of the Examination Committee of the European College of veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia.

Colette qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 1996, and enjoyed four busy years in small animal general practice. She spent the next two years in industry where she developed an interest in anaesthesia, analgesia and ethics. During her residency in veterinary anaesthesia at the Animal Health Trust she gained the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Anaesthesia in 2004 and the European Diploma in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2006. She became Head of Anaesthesia in 2009.  Outside work Colette enjoys walking her dogs (a lurcher and a border collie), yoga, running, and cooking.
