Biography

Dr Fran Henson is a recognised specialist in equine surgery (orthopaedics) with over 20 years clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of horses with back problems, lameness and poor performance. Fran leads an Orthopaedic Research team that investigates musculoskeletal disease, particularly joint disease and cartilage repair and is working to develop new therapeutics in this area. She has published over 100 research papers and articles and is Editor of the textbook ‘Equine Neck and Back pathology’.
